Result: five times more foreign applicants

HSE is one of the global leaders in online-education development. Also, it is the most active EdTech innovator in Russia thanks to its rich history, approach, human capacity, science labs, and more. HSE accepts international students and plans to attract more and more of them. But it had tough restrictions – the majority of international applicants couldn’t come to Russia to pass entrance exams. It was too expensive for them. That’s why HSE educators needed to go to foreign countries themselves to take exams. First, it was quite expensive for HSE, and, secondly, they couldn’t attend to all of applicants anyway. So HSE wanted to offer its students the chance to take entrance exams on the Internet.

Flexible proctoring solution Examus allowed HSE to launch entrance exams for foreigners. It was the first case in Russia and proved the high quality and reliability of our solution.

Thousands of examinees from 80 countries could take an exam. This new opportunity enabled HSE to scale abroad and to attract many more international students. For the applicants it was a plus too – they could pass exams in their home locales and didn’t have to arrive to Russia before the academic year.
