Happy Holiday Season!

On the eve of the holiday season, we would like to wish all our readers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and cast a glance back to recap the significant events of the past year for Examus.

Beginning of the Year

The pandemic began to spread around the world, changing everyday life for many people. Most schools, universities, and corporations were forced to shift online. Therefore, the springtime was incredibly busy for Examus, as we had to launch the proctoring system from scratch for dozens of new clients in the shortest possible time. It was an intense period, but we successfully navigated this challenge.

April 2020

We hosted a webinar called "AI Proctoring Solution for Online Education" to explain the concept of proctoring, how it works, the role of AI, and whether it is possible to cheat under the Examus system's supervision.

May 2020

Most users were already familiar with the proctoring solution for exams; however, they knew barely anything about Examus EQ (software for evaluating the engagement level while learning). Therefore, we posted information about all Examus products and what they can be used for on our blog.

June–July 2020

At the end of this academic year, all of our clients had to move their final exams online, which increased the Examus system's workload several times over.

August–September 2020

As soon as the admissions campaign started, it became clear that all procedures, including entrance exams, should be held remotely due to the pandemic restrictions. As a result, more colleges and universities became our clients.

October 2020

In October, we made significant updates to our software. For instance, the video archive interface design was finally completed after remaining unchanged for several years. We also upgraded the interface language system. It currently supports English, Italian, Arabic, French, and Spanish. For students' convenience, the proctoring system now allows an exam to continue after a technical failure, even if the time for re-entry and identification has expired. Moreover, the updated cyberproctor can detect the presence of smartphones and headphones and identify cheating attempts more accurately.

Also, in October, we were published on SoftwareSuggest, a leading software discovery and recommendation platform. India's largest business consultant featured two of our articles. The first one introduced the new audience to proctoring and how it works. The second article was an interview with Dmitriy Istomin, Examus's founder and CEO.

November 2020

Progress never stops. We have been often asked whether it is possible to adapt the proctoring system for online oral exams, and now we can say that, yes, it is. In November, we launched a new product called Examus Verbal which allows oral exams to be conducted remotely in a single-window mode. The whole process is recorded and analyzed by AI and an independent proctor to ensure maximum transparency. Students and examinees can communicate with each other in the same way they used to in the classroom.

This fall was very eventful for us. We took part in the international education exhibition GESS in Dubai, CEBIT ASEAN Thailand 2020, Communic Asia, Online Educa Berlin, and the conference of the Association for Distance Education of Brazil (ABED).

December 2020

We are very proud to be shortlisted for the prestigious AI Award by Reimagine Education Awards & Conference.

Another big event of this year that we participated in was the annual international exhibition of IT-technologies GITEX Global and Web Summit
Online education has become a new global reality. Therefore, next year, proctoring will be one of the mainstream technologies for universities, schools, and corporations to integrate.

We will be happy to help you implement online proctoring and show you how to conduct high-quality oral and written exams remotely. Our ready-to-use software solutions can be adjusted for every customer's request.

The Examus team wishes all the readers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Stay safe and enjoy your holidays!
